Privacy policy

This website collects nothing about you. This page explains that, and explains separately how we handle personal data when you become a client.

1. Who is responsible

Sweden Expat Tax & Accounting AB, organisation number 559382-8527, registered in Sweden, is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with our services and this website.

2. This website collects no personal data

We want to be exact about this, because most privacy policies say the opposite in a great many words.

  • No cookies. This website sets no cookies of any kind — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for advertising. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
  • No tracking. We use no tracking scripts, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting and no third-party scripts. Our hosting provider gives us aggregate visit counts — how many people viewed which pages, and from which countries — produced from server data without identifying anyone. We cannot see who you are.
  • No forms. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup and no account area. Nothing on this site submits data anywhere.
  • No external content. Fonts and images are served from this website itself. Your browser makes no requests to Google, to a content delivery network, or to any other third party while reading these pages.

If you contact us using the telephone number or email address published on this site, you are contacting us directly, and the processing of that contact is described in section 4.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like all web hosting, the provider processes technical connection data — such as IP addresses and request information — for the purposes of delivering the site, protecting it from attack and abuse, and producing the aggregate visit statistics described in section 2. We do not have access to this data in a form that identifies individual visitors, and we do not use it for any other purpose.

4. Personal data we process as your adviser

When you contact us and when you become a client, we necessarily process personal data. This has nothing to do with the website.

What we process. Identifying information such as your name, personal identity number, contact details and address; financial information necessary for the engagement, such as income, employment, assets, bank and investment statements, property and business records; correspondence between us; and identification documents where required by law.

Why we process it. To perform the engagement you have asked us to perform (contractual necessity); to comply with legal obligations, including bookkeeping law, tax law and money laundering legislation; and, where applicable, for the legitimate interest of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

We need perform KYC (Know your customer) before taking you as a cilent required under Swedish Anti Money Laundering act.

5. Who we share data with

  • Skatteverket, Bolagsverket and other Swedish authorities, to the extent the engagement requires filings or correspondence with them.
  • Software providers used to prepare and file declarations and accounts, and to exchange documents securely, acting as our data processors under written agreements.

6. How long we keep it

Client records are retained for as long as the engagement continues and thereafter for the period required by Swedish law — in particular the retention period under the Swedish Bookkeeping Act and the retention obligations under money laundering legislation. Material not subject to a statutory retention requirement is deleted when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased where no statutory retention obligation applies, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive data you provided to us in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at onboarding@swedenexpattax.se. We will respond within the time limits set by the regulation.

If you believe we have handled your personal data incorrectly, you have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page. Since the website sets no cookies and runs no tracking, changes here will generally concern our work as your adviser rather than the website itself.
